Best raspberry orange Julius
Have you ever tried an Orange Julius at the mall? This homemade version will remind you of it, but it’s better.
This is one of my top favorite smoothie recipes, it is absolutely sweet, tangy, creamy, citrus-y. It tastes better than dessert yet it is totally healthy and you could drink it everyday. One secret to this smoothie is using fresh oranges—just cut off the skin and use the entire inside of the orange. The fresh oranges give so much flavor, I love to use oranges this way in smoothies. The other special part of this smoothie is the fresh coconut. Find a young coconut at the Asian or health food market. Have them open it up for you, or open it a home yourself. One way to open it is but using a large serrated knife to slice off the bottom, working the knife against the hard inner shell. A small soft spot will be revealed in that shell which you can use the back end of a spoon to pop through. Then, you can pour out the coconut water into the blender.
